PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peripheral state image display system which can surely provide a vehicle driver with a peripheral state image in spite of poor visibility. SOLUTION: A peripheral state image display system 13 includes: a peripheral state image transmission device 7 which includes an imaging means 1 for obtaining a plurality of peripheral state images by photographing peripheral states in a plurality of directions along a plurality of roads extending from an installation position of the means, an image selection means 2 for selecting at least one of the plurality of peripheral state images, and an image transmission means 3 for transmitting the selected peripheral state image to a receiver; and a peripheral state image reception device 8 which includes a request means 4 for requesting at least one of the plurality of peripheral state images to the peripheral state image transmission device 7, an image reception means 5 for receiving the peripheral state image transmitted from the image transmission means 3, and an image display means 6 for displaying the received peripheral state image and is carried by the receiver.
