PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having excellent efficacy in controlling plant diseases. SOLUTION: There are disclosed an amide compound represented by formula (1) and a salt thereof each having excellent efficacy in controlling plant diseases. In the formula, R1represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a cyano group, a nitro group, a 1-4C alkoxy group, a 1-4C alkylthio group, a 1-4C alkylsulfinyl group, a 1-4C alkylsulfonyl group, a 1-5C alkyl group, or a 3-5C cycloalkyl group; R2represents a hydrogen atom or a 1-3C alkyl group; and Cy1represents a cyclohexyl group substituted with a 1-5C alkyl group; provided that, if R1is a 1-5C alkyl group, the 1-5C alkyl group may be substituted with one or more groups selected from the group consisting of a halogen atom, a cyano group, a 1-4C alkoxy group, a 1-4C alkylthio group, a 1-4C alkylsulfinyl group, and a 1-4C alkylsulfonyl group.
