<p>A wireless communication system, which uses a second communication scheme capable of implementing communication with a terminal station apparatus which uses a first communication scheme, comprises a base station apparatus and a relay station apparatus. When setting the connection between the base station apparatus and the terminal station apparatus through the relay station apparatus, the base station apparatus gives the connection both a first identifier based on the first communication scheme and a second identifier based on the second communication scheme, and uses the second identifier for communication with the relay station apparatus in that connection. The relay station apparatus relays the connection between the base station apparatus and terminal station apparatus, and in the relaying of that connection, uses the second identifier for communication with the base station apparatus, and uses the first identifier for communication with the terminal station apparatus.</p> |
