<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a metal separator having projection portions on both sides thereof to be more rigid and to be reliably prevented from being deformed. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell 10 is provided with a cathode-side metal separator 12, an electrolyte film-electrode structure 14, and an anode-side metal separator 16. The cathode-side metal separator 12 has a first projection portion 34 projecting towards an oxidant gas flow path 30 and a second projection portion 36 projecting towards a cooling medium flow path 32, with at least portions of the first projection portion 34 and the second projection portion 36 being coupled via a smooth continuous profile portion 39. The anode-side metal separator 16 includes a first projection portion 42 projecting towards a fuel gas flow path 40 and a second projection portion 44 projecting towards the cooling medium flow path 32, with at least portions of the first projection portion 42 and the second projection 44 being coupled via a smooth continuous profile portion 48. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
