PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a DWR (Direct Wound Roving) which can improve the mechanical strength and hot water resistance of FRP (Fiber-Reinforced Plastic). SOLUTION: A molten glass pulled out by a bushing made of platinum is stretched to a glass filament. The surface of the glass filament is coated with a sizing agent comprising at least one kind of silane selected from epoxy silane, amino silane and ureido silane, and acrylic silane. A plurality of the filaments coated with the sizing agent are sized so as to be a glass strand. The glass strand is cylindrically wound, and is thereafter film-formed at 90 to 110°C.
