PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt preventing shrinkage of the belt by preventing a canvas from shrinking in a longitudinal direction even when foreign matter enters the canvas. SOLUTION: The belt 1 has the canvas 2 on the surface thereof, and has a resin layer 3 adjacent to the canvas 2. A warp 2a of the canvas 2 extending in the longitudinal direction of the belt includes an elastic thread having elasticity. Therefore, when the foreign matter 8 enters the clearance between weaves of the canvas 2, or the clearance between fiber bundles constituting the warp 2a, the warp 2a stretches to prevent the canvas 2 from shrinking in the longitudinal direction.
