PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new video generation technology for efficiently editing a multi-viewpoint video file. SOLUTION: First, position relation of cameras which captures each video image is calculated. Then, layout information of the cameras showing the calculated position relation of the cameras is displayed on a display. A video image captured by each camera is displayed while showing the camera used for the imaging, according to display of the layout information. When viewpoint information of the video image is specified from a user, the viewpoint information is input, a video image seen from the viewpoint information is generated, and displayed on the display. The user quickly obtains relation of multi-viewpoint images and views a video image from a desired viewpoint, thereby enabling efficient browsing and editing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
