The switch (1) has switching contacts opened using a tripping shaft. A trigger (3) e.g. low voltage trigger, releases a switching lock independent upon a maglatch (2) e.g. permanent magnet or automatic holding magnet. An electronic triggering unit (ETU) monitors current flow after triggering the maglatch and transmits a digital releasing signal to an electrical module (4) i.e. input/output module, via a communication unit (5) i.e. bus (5a), when error exists in the flow interruption. The triggering unit converts the digital trigger signal into an analog trigger signal and actuates the trigger.
