A flexible package (20) comprising an integral snap-closure (24) and a method and apparatus for applying the snap closure to the package is disclosed. The snap closure (24) is arranged to enable the repeated opening and closing of a mouth of the package (34) and includes a segmented male closure (24A) element and a segmented female closure element (24B) that are arranged to snap-fit together.
