<p>A composite magnetic ring (1) is configured by spacing a plurality of permanent magnets (2) at a predetermined distance and arranging the same annularly, and providing low-temperature Curie point magnetic substances (3) between the two adjacent permanent magnets (2), so that the plurality of permanent magnets (2) and the plurality of low-temperature Curie point magnetic substances (3) are alternately arranged. An energy converter converts exhaust heat energy or heat energy of solar light to mechanical/electrical energy, using the variation of magnetic permeability at a temperature near the Curie point of the low-temperature Curie point magnetic substances (3) in the composite magnetic ring (1). The energy converter is comprised of the composite magnetic ring (1) and a rotor (5) which is disposed inside the composite magnetic ring (1) and has a plurality of magnetic poles. At least one of the low-temperature Curie point magnetic substances (3) in the composite magnetic ring (1) is heated to a temperature near the Curie point, and a magnetic field occurs in the vicinity of the heated low-temperature Curie point magnetic substances (3) and, accordingly, the rotor (5) is rotated.</p> |
