<p>A process for preparing polyamides by reacting starting monomers selected from dicarboxylic acids and diamines or salts of dicarboxylic acids and diamines, amino carboxylic acids, amino nitriles, lactams and mixtures thereof, in the presence or absence of water and/or of functionalizing compounds capable of attaching to carboxyl or amino groups, which process comprises performing the reaction in an ionic liquid as solvent without use of additional accelerants.</p> |
