PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treatment device for attaining a large microwave output without making its appearance large with power supply sections prepared on a plurality of surfaces of a heating chamber, and freely attaining a desired electromagnetic wave distribution. SOLUTION: Microwave generation components excluding the power supply sections 5a-5h are put together and unitized in a compact size as microwave modules 24, and each microwave module 24 is housed in a small space between the heating chamber 6 having a plurality of wall surfaces and the plurality of power supply sections and a body 26 forming an external enclosure of a case. Thus, the external enclosure of the case is kept compact, and a volume of the heating chamber is maintained equivalent to the conventional one, so that large power is radiated into the heating chamber 6 with microwaves emitted from the plurality of power supply sections, and free heating distribution is formed by mutual interference of the microwaves emitted from the plurality of power supply sections.
