PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively adjust an adhesion area of a pivot/bearing assembly to a carriage. SOLUTION: In an HDD, the pivot/bearing assembly 15 is fixed by adhesive into a hole 143 of the carriage 140. Thereby, the pivot/bearing assembly is firmly fixed to the carriage, and oscillation characteristics of an actuator is increased. Adhesion areas 156a-156c of the pivot/bearing assembly are adjusted by using an adhesion prevention agent 60 which prevents adhesion of the adhesive. Thereby, undesirable deformation of the pivot/bearing assembly is suppressed in thermal deformation of the actuator, and a reduction in oscillation characteristics of the actuator due to temperature change can be suppressed.
