PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner that can catch fine dust and can decrease pressure drop. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner has a cleaner body 1 including: a motor-driven blower 28; a filter 29; an exhaust duct 40 communicating the motor-driven blower 28 with the filter 29; and a cord reel 41. The motor-driven blower 28 and the cord reel 41 are disposed adjacent to each other in the cleaner body 1, and the filter 29 is provided extending from the front of the motor-driven blower 28 to the front of the cord reel 41 in the cleaner body 1.
