PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation-selective absorber coating which has good adhesion of individual layers and is essentially stable and is not affected by outside influences fluctuated in a production process, absorber tubes to which the absorber coating is applied and a method of operating parabolic trough collectors using the absorber tubes therein. SOLUTION: The absorber coating is formed by at least one barrier layer (24) arranged below a reflective layer (21) and at least one absorption layer (22) arranged above the reflective layer (21). An antireflection layer (23) is included above the absorption layer (22), and at least one adhesion-enhancing layer (25) is formed between the barrier layer (24) and the reflective layer (21).
