<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element which has satisfactory internal reflection prevention properties, has satisfactory environment resistance, further has reduced deterioration with the lapse of time, and can reduce flares and ghosts when used for an optical system. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical element where an antireflection film is formed at least on the one of the light incident plane and light outgoing plane of a transparent substrate, the edge portion at the side end of the optical element consists of a rough surface, and, on the rough surface, a substrate layer(s) having one or more substantially transparent films formed in a using wavelength region and a coating film substantially opaque in the using wavelength formed on the substrate layer, are formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
