PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level detector which reduces a cost increase and improves durability. SOLUTION: The liquid level detector 1 includes a circuit board 2 having fixed electrodes 3a, 3b formed of a conductor, sliding contacts 6, 7 which slide with respect to the fixed electrodes 3a, 3b in accordance with a change in a liquid level, and a sliding component 5 to which the sliding contacts 6, 7 are fixed. Abrasion marks 15 having an inclination of 45 to 90 degrees with respect to the sliding direction S of the sliding contacts 6, 7 are provided on the fixed electrodes 3a, 3b.
