PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground bait basket in which an additional stinky ground bait can directly be charged without a hand, after water mixed with the ground bait is quickly drained to reduce the volume of the ground bait and which can easily avoid that the opening of the basket is hooked with an obstacle in water and not separated from the obstacle. SOLUTION: The mesh basket in which a ground bait used for fishing is charged and used, namely, the ground bait basket includes a net basket portion which is a bottomed cylindrical net for charging the ground bait therein, a support portion of rigid rod-like member whose one end is inserted from the opening of the net basket portion and connected to a place near to the center of the inner bottom portion of the net basket, and a holding portion of rigid rod-like member whose one end is turnably or bendably engaged with the other end of the support portion, or cooperatively turnably or bendably engaged with one end of the support portion 2.
