A computer tomography (CT) imaging method for a region-of-interest (ROI) of a detected object includes acquiring the CT projection data of the ROI (S203), acquiring the CT projection data of a region B (S205), choosing a set of PI-line segments which cover the ROI (S301), and calculating the reconstructed image values for each PI-line segment of said set of PI-line segments (S303-S307), then combining all the reconstructed image values on the PI-line segments of said set of PI-line segments (S309), and acquiring the ROI image (S207). Also disclosed are a CT imaging device using said method and a data processing unit therein.
