<p>The apparatus (1) comprises an application unit and a downstream doctor blade element (4), which are arranged to a moving counter surface (5) of a rotatable application roller, and a humidifying device (8) with an exit nozzle opening receiving a humidifying agent for humidifying the counter surface, where the humidifying device is arranged above the doctor blade element viewed in a moving direction of the counter surface, and is coverable with a protective surface (10) but its exit nozzle opening. The humidifying device is arranged in a fixed manner. The apparatus additionally includes a cleaning device for cleaning the humidifying device and/or the exit nozzle opening, where the cleaning device has rotating and/or traversing brushes, wipers and/or water jets which are added to a cleaning agent. The cleaning device is movable independent of the humidifying device. An adjusting device is provided for moving the protective surface, the humidifying device and/or the cleaning device, has a thermal, hydraulic, pneumatic, magnetic, magnetostrictive or piezoelectric adjustment mechanism, and is operated in an automated and/or remote-controlled manner. The humidifying device, the protective surface, the adjusting device and/or the cleaning device are fastened to a receiving part. The humidifying device is designed, so that the multiple exit nozzle openings branch off from a humidifying agent tube adapted to the length of the application roller, where the exit nozzle openings are uniformly distributedly arranged, are arranged multiple rows and are displaceably arranged to each other. The humidifying device and/or the degree of humidification caused by it are automatically activatable and deactivatable using a control unit.</p> |
