<p>An electric actuator configured to consume reduced electric power and to be low cost and compact. A ball-screw mechanism (7) comprises: a screw shaft (5) which is connected to a motor shaft (3a) through a coupling (4) and is supported by a pair of rolling bearings (10, 11) so that the screw shaft (5) can rotate but cannot move in the axial direction; and a nut (6) which is mounted on the screw shaft (5) with balls provided therebetween and is disposed so that the nut (6) can or cannot rotate relative to the screw shaft (5) and can move in the axial direction relative to the screw shaft (5). The rotational motion of the electric motor (3) is converted into the axial linear motion of the nut (6). A ring-like member (27) is disposed so as to be sandwiched and held between the rolling bearing (10) on the electric motor (3) side and a step section (26) of the screw shaft (5). The rolling bearing (10) is fixed in the axial direction by a staked section (19) formed by plastically deforming a part of the outer diameter section of the screw shaft (5). A solenoid (29) is mounted to a housing (2), and the rod (29a) of the solenoid is caused to project and engage with the ring-like member (27).</p> |
