PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the bite-in of a foreign matter into a clearance between lock members and lock grooves over a long period of time. SOLUTION: This valve opening/closing timing control device includes a drive-side rotary body 1 synchronously rotating with a crankshaft, a driven-side rotary body 2 synchronously rotating with a camshaft 3 coaxially with the drive-side rotary body, a fluid pressure chamber 4 formed of the drive-side rotary body and the driven-side rotary body, a partition part 5 for partitioning the fluid pressure chamber into an ignition timing advance chamber 4b and an ignition timing delay chamber 4a, the lock members 18 and 19 installed in one rotary body and protruding to and retreating from the other rotary body, the lock grooves 20 and 21 for restricting a relative rotational phase of the driven-side rotary body to the drive-side rotary body in a predetermined phase when the lock members are projected and locked, and lock release passages 16 and 17 for retreating the lock members from the lock grooves by making a working fluid act on the lock members. The lock releasing passages are made to communicate with the lock grooves, and the rotary body forming a storage part has an atmospheric opening passage 29 communicating with the lock grooves when the relative rotational phase is a specific phase.
