PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the location of an area where processings are to be performed, where the initial state is restored and perform more suitable area setting. SOLUTION: When an AF (auto focus) frame 261 (AF area) is to be restored to the initial state, a user performs double-tap on an EVF area 221. On the basis of information showing that the user performs the double-tap, which is supplied from a touch panel, a CPU controls a display controller to restore the AF frame 261 displayed on an LCD to the initial state, and controls a camera controller to perform AF processing.
