PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-component developing agent which can output stable high quality images over a long period of time in a high-speed machine, and to provide an image forming method. SOLUTION: In the two-component developing agent containing a styrene-acrylic resin toner for developing electrostatic charge images and a carrier, the carrier is a resin dispersion type carrier in which a magnetic powder is dispersed in a binder resin, and the binder resin is formed from a copolymer of a cyclic alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer and a linear alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer.
