PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal device by which not only initial display defects but also display defects concerning reliability quality are appropriately and efficiently detected. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the liquid crystal device includes an assembling step (step S6) for disposing and sticking a mother substrate on which one substrates of a pair of substrates are formed and the other substrates of the pair of substrates opposite to each other in a prescribed position, a liquid crystal injecting and sealing step (step S7) for injecting and sealing a liquid crystal in a gap between the mother substrate and the other substrates disposed opposite to each other, an energizing step (step S8) for energizing a liquid crystal panel while heating the mother substrate after assembling to a prescribed temperature, a division step (step S9) dividing the mother substrate and taking out individual liquid crystal panel whose energization is completed, a display inspection step (step S10) for inspecting the display function of the liquid crystal panel and a mounting step (step S11) for performing mounting using the liquid crystal panel after inspection.
