PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electric power used for cooking by eliminating overshoot without making preheating time of a heating chamber longer. SOLUTION: A heating cooker includes a control means 72 for ON/OFF controlling a heating means so as to keep temperature of the heating chamber 28 at heating temperature input by an operation part 6, and equipped with an oven heating function for heating/cooking an object to be heated through a preheating process for preheating the heating chamber 28 by the heating means 12 and a main process for heating/cooking the object to be heated. In the preheating process, the control means 72 carries out power energization to the heating means 12 by 100% energization ratio, and finishes the preheating when the temperature detection means 85 detects a detection value of temperature lower by certain degrees of temperature compared to the input heating temperature. In the main process, the electric power energization ratio to the heating means 12 is changed according to the heating temperature. The heating means 12 is ON/OFF controlled so as to make the temperature detected by the temperature detection means 85 correspond with the heating temperature input by the operation part 6.
