PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic circuit for speaker which is superior in a voice reproduction ability and is suitable for being attached to a device such as a display and an electrodynamic speaker which is an elongated electrodynamic speaker whose minor axis direction is short compared with a major axis direction, with regard to an electrodynamic speaker using a plate coil having a roller direction orthogonal to an oscillation direction of a speaker diaphragm. SOLUTION: A magnetic circuit for a speaker has: a stick magnet having a rectangular section forming a linear magnetic air gap; and a U-shaped or ring-like yoke connected to the magnet at an attaching portion. With respect to the yoke, a section of a part not including the attaching portion is formed to an approximate rectangle shape, a part including the attaching portion is formed to an approximate L-shape, and the attaching portion is a recessed portion forming a rectangular space to which the magnet having the rectangular section engages.
