PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker accurately measuring room temperature and reducing the time of generating noises from a fan by changing the driving time of the fan according to the room temperature or the quantity of remaining rice. SOLUTION: The rice cooker 11 includes: a body 12 for housing an inner pot 13; heating means 32, 34 and 42 for boiling rice within the pot by heating the inner pot or retaining the heat of the rice; the fan 23 for taking in outside air into the body and cooling inside of the body; a control means 26 for controlling the heating means and controlling the drive of the fan; and a room temperature sensor 24 disposed within the body for measuring the room temperature.
