PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient boron-containing wastewater treatment method which satisfactorily treats boron without allowing added aluminum to remain in treated water and generates a small amount of sludge. SOLUTION: In the boron-containing wastewater treatment method which comprises a reaction process of adding aluminum sulfate and slaked lime to wastewater containing 300 mg/L or less of boron to adjust the pH to alkaline, and a solid-liquid separation process for solid-liquid separating the generated insoluble deposits, the amounts of aluminum and calcium in the reaction process is adjusted so that their ratio is 1:6 to 1:12 and the pH is adjusted to 9 or higher to maintain the condition for 2 hours or longer.
