A dry shaver head, formed as a removable unit, comprises a grid secured to a socket and a rotatable blade carrier retained in the head by entering an annular recess in the socket, the blade carrier being provided with one part of a coupling which connects with a second coupling part formed on a driving shaft emerging from the casing of the dry shaver. As shown, a flexible grid 10 is clamped between outer and inner sleeves 15, 3, forming a socket, the sleeve 3 having a pin and slot connection 17, 18 with arcuate projections 2 on the casing 1 and having an internal projection 4 forming a recess 33 receiving the ends of radial arms of a blade carrier 5. Each arm may be provided with a protruding ball making rolling engagement with the inner surface of the recess and has an upturned lug 9 receiving a cutting blade 8 which is apertured at 7 to receive a hook 6 or is secured to the arm by screws. A spring-urged shaft 21, bearing in washers 20 force-fitted in an annular raised portion 19 of the casing 1, has a flattened conical head 22 engaging a similarly shaped recess in the carrier 5 to centre the carrier and transmit drive from a regulator 27 rotated by the motor shaft 28 the drive being transmitted to the shaft 21 by a plate 24 and pin 26. Cut hair is collected in the cup 30.
