<p>Disclosed is a method for continuously casting steel, wherein molten steel is supplied into a container through a sliding nozzle which is obtained by kneading and molding a starting material that contains not less than 45% by mass but not more than 94% by mass of a spinel material having a theoretical composition, not less than 1% by mass but not more than 50% by mass of an alumina material, not less than 1% by mass but not more than 7% by mass of Al metal, not less than 0.5% by mass but not more than 2% by mass of Si metal, not less than 0.5% by mass but not more than 4% by mass of a carbon material, not less than 0.1% by mass but not more than 1% by mass of B4C, and the balance including unavoidable impurities, to said starting material not less than 2% by mass but not more than 6% by mass of a binder being added relative to the total mass of the starting material.</p> |
