<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content distribution system which distributes contents which have been converted into a data format corresponding to a terminal attribute, and performs appropriate content distribution while minimizing the resources of the entire content distribution system. <P>SOLUTION: The content distribution system includes: a first distribution processing device which performs a transcoding process varying, depending on each terminal attribute of a user's terminal device, with respect to untransformed contents held in a content storage device, and performs a real-time transcoding distribution process in response to a content distribution request from the user's terminal device; a distribution control device which monitors the resource load of the first distribution process device, and based on a resource load state when there is the content distribution request, switches the process of distributing contents corresponding to the distribution request, from the real-time transcoding distribution process to a cache distribution process; and a second distribution processing device which, when the cache distribution process is performed, caches transformed contents generated through the transcoding process by the first distribution process device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
