<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellular phone apparatus capable of simply inputting passwords. <P>SOLUTION: A contact sensor allowing users to input characters by tracing with fingers is disposed at the area where numerical keypads of a cellular phone are arranged. At registering of a password for releasing key lock, when users trace characters without lifting the finger from the surface as shown in Figs. 5(a) to 5(d) on the contact sensor, their shapes are stored in the memory and registration of the password is completed.
