<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal complex useful for synthesizing compounds, as a material for additives, modifiers, batteries, catalysts, sensors, etc., and as a material for organic EL devices, organic transistor devices, organic photoelectric transform devices, etc., and in particular, having high durability (heat resistance) as a light-emitting material. <P>SOLUTION: The metal complex has a conjugate system excellent in charge transferring ability, and includes: a nitrogen-containing aromatic ring ligand having a dendric molecular chain containing a symmetrically or asymmetrically dendrically branched dendron structure or hyperbranched structure; and cuprous (I) ion(s) or silver (I) ion(s).
