PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fall of an L-value in printing while intermittently using ink easy to dry. SOLUTION: This printer 1 includes a head 41 for ejecting inks of a plurality of colors; a mechanism 80 for switching the filled state of ink; a storage part 63 storing matching between a quiescent time and a passage cleaning procedure; and a control part 60 carrying out first processing for switching from a first filled state of a specific ink filled in a filling chamber 70 in the head, to a second filled state of a plugging preventive ink filled therein, second processing for switching from the second filled state to the first filled state, processing for measuring the quiescent time of not ejecting the specific ink after the execution of the second processing, and processing for ejecting the specific ink for disposal in the passage cleaning procedure corresponding to the measured quiescent time.
