PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform highly accurate failure predictive diagnosis for a loading mechanism of an optical disk drive. SOLUTION: An information processing device includes: a drive device having a loading mechanism for loading or ejecting a recording medium; a state information obtaining means obtaining state information indicating work status of the loading mechanism; and a determining means which determines that a sign of fail exits in the loading mechanism when a calculated value obtained from work status of the loading mechanism included in status information before the nearest is compared with a calculated value obtained from work status of the loading mechanism included in the nearest state information and its variation is large.
