PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that properly converts an electronic file input from the outside into an electronic file in a specific data format suitable for processing without requiring instructions from a user, and to provide a data converting method, and a data conversion program. SOLUTION: The display device displays an electronic file in a specific data format on a display panel. If a USB cable is unplugged (S11: YES) or if a memory card is inserted (S12: YES), it is determined that the time has come to convert the electronic file in the data format different from the specific data format into the electronic file in the specific data format.
