PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for automatically assembling a parking device for providing ease of assembly and improved production efficiency when the parking device is unitized. SOLUTION: The method for automatically assembling the parking device includes a first process for simultaneously transferring a detent spring 15 and a mounting bolt 59 by gripping the detent spring 15 with chucks 34a, 34b and retaining a head of the mounting bolt 59 with a bolt retaining jig 33c while the mounting bolt 59 is attached to a vacant hole formed at the detent spring 15, for example, a second process for attaching the detent spring 15 at a home position of a unit base 10, and bringing a tip of a screw of the mounting bolt 59 into contact with an inlet port of a female screw hole 106a, and a third process for tightening the mounting bolt 59 by a screw tightening runner 46 through the bolt retaining jig 33c.
