A slider unit equipped with a damper comprises: a slider body provided to either a fixed body or a movement body which moves relative to the fixed body, separably engaged with the other body, and sliding as the other body moves; and a damper which, as the slider body moves in a predetermined direction, acts against the movement of the slider body to damp the kinetic energy of the slider body. The slider body is provided with a fixed section, a movable section slidably mounted to the fixed section and separably engaged with the other body, and an elastic member consisting of a spring material and mounted between the fixed section and the movable section. The elastic member is mounted between the fixed section and the movable section so as to press the movable section in the direction of movement thereof. The elastic member is elastically deformed when the movable section moves to cause the portion at which the elastic member and the movable section are mounted to each other to approach the portion at which the elastic member and the fixed section are mounted to each other. Also, the elasticity of the elastic member is restored when the portion at which the elastic member and the movable section are mounted to each other passes through the reversing point of the elastic member. |
