<p>A device (302; 801) for preventing the rewetting of pulp in an apparatus for processing pulp, the apparatus comprising at least one rotatable drum (202, 204) provided with a permeable outer surface (206, 208) and a plurality of axial filtrate channels (210, 212) provided inwardly of the outer surface (206, 208). The apparatus removes liquid from the pulp and transports the liquid to the filtrate channels (210, 212) through the outer surface (206, 208). The device is adapted to be installed in one of the filtrate channels (210, 212), and comprises an axially extending filtrate barrier element (304; 804; 904) for preventing the flow of liquid from the trailing part of the filtrate channel (210, 212) to the outer surface (206, 208) of the drum (202, 204), and at least one axially extending support element (308; 808) connected to the filtrate barrier element. At least one biasing member (308, 310, 312; 808, 810) is adapted to bias the filtrate barrier element away from the support element to a first unbiased position, in relation to the support element, at which an extended transverse extension of the device is provided, and adapted to bias the filtrate barrier element away from the support element to at least one second unbiased position, in relation to the support element, at which a reduced transverse extension of the device (302; 801) is provided. The device (302; 801) comprises locking means (602; 702, 704, 707, 714; 902, 950, 952; 702, 714, 958) for axially locking the elements (304, 306; 804, 808; 904) in relation to each other, to prevent the relative axial movement of the elements, whereby the axial dislocation of the device is prevented.
