<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which attains real-time and high-speed live view, attains high definition during reproduction, and reduces power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: In imaging mode, a camera controller 108 transfers digital image data to an EVF unit 102 through a transmitter 114 at a first display speed, and the EVF unit 102 performs live view display at first resolution, for example, 640×480 pixels of an image size (VGA) and at a display rate 60fps.
