<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable cost reduction and improvement in productivity in a method of manufacturing a connector for equipment which is formed by insert-molding an intermediate product equipped with relay terminals. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the connector for the equipment includes: a primary molding step of molding a primary molding body 20 having lower holes 24 formed in a connector housing 10; a terminal press-fitting step of press-fitting the relay terminals 11 into the lower holes 24 to form an intermediate product 40; and an insert-molding step of setting the intermediate product 40 in a secondary molding die 50 to mold the connector for the equipment. The primary molding body 20 includes a resin flow-in opening 21 through which a resin can be made to flow by penetrating the resin from a gate 52 through the primary molding body 20 during secondary molding, and a support protrusion 23 in internal contact with a secondary molding die 50, thereby: improving a resin flow during the secondary molding; suppressing an incidence rate of defective products by preventing the intermediate product 40 from being dislocated; and enabling cost reduction and improvement in productivity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
