PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger allowing to easily carry out inside cleaning and maintenance while securing sufficient heat transfer area. SOLUTION: The heat exchanger 10 for solving the problems includes a cylindrical body casing 14, a heat transfer plate 16 which divides an interior space 14e of the body casing 14 into a high-temperature side fluid flowing passage 34 and a low-temperature side fluid flowing passage 32 while projecting respectively into the high-temperature side fluid flowing passage 34 and the low-temperature side fluid flowing passage 32 and comprising a hollow projection part 36 having inside an inside space 37 opening to the opposite face from the projecting direction, inspection openings 28a, 28b provided at a position corresponding to the inside space 37 of the hollow projection part 36 in side walls 14c, 14d of the body casing 14, inspection hatches 18a, 18b for respectively opening/closing the inspection openings 28a, 28b, and a plurality of straightening vanes 42 provided from the inspection hatches 18a, 18b to the inside space 37 of the hollow projection part 36 to be detachable from the inspection openings 28a, 28b.
