PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition excellent in low heat generation property, causing no volatile organic compound (VOC), and also excellent in heat-resistance, and to provide a pneumatic tire using the rubber composition. SOLUTION: The rubber composition includes a modified conjugated diene (co)polymer represented by formula (1) or formula (2) and an organic crosslinking agent, and the pneumatic tire is provided.
