PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air float device capable of preventing flapping of an end of a long web during conveyance or drying, and moreover, capable of conveying or drying the web stably. SOLUTION: The air float device 1 conveys the long web 15 in a longitudinal direction. Two slit-like nozzles 10 intersecting with the longitudinal direction of the web 15 are arranged in a body 19, and gas is jetted from the two nozzles 10, thereby floating the web. An exhaust slit 5 is arranged between the two nozzles 10 of the body 19. The whole of the exhaust slit 5 is opposed to the web 15. The length of the exhaust slit 5 is shorter than length in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the web 15.
