PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interesting pinball game machine which allows a display mode to be apparently changed by the game of a player him/herself, and improves expectations of the player. SOLUTION: The pinball game machine allows the display mode, which is displayed in a performance symbol display device 15, to be transferred from a normal display mode to a display mode in response to the progress of the game, which allows a player to expect that a winning probability of lottery in a special symbol is in a high probability state. A sub-controller for controlling the performance symbol display device is configured to extract a random number on condition that a condition setting means performs a predetermined specified operation within a prescribed time from power source supply, select one mode transfer condition among a plurality of kinds of mode transfer conditions, based on the extracted random number, and carry out a special performance including a display mode transfer performance when a transfer performance carrying-out means satisfies the mode transfer condition during the game, so as to change the display mode.
