<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary damper used in a cold district capable of preventing a trouble by reducing torque fluctuation to a temperature change caused by a seal material. <P>SOLUTION: The rotary damper D includes: a housing 11; silicone oil 21 filled in the housing 11; a rotary shaft 32 projecting from the housing 11 in a part thereof; a rotor 31 continuously provided at a lower end of the rotary shaft 32 and having a rotor braking plate 35 rotatably housed in the housing 11; and an O-ring 41 arranged between the housing 11 and the rotary shaft 32 to prevent the leakage of the silicone oil 21 out of the housing 11. The O-ring 41 is formed of ethylene-propylene-diene rubber having a non-swelling property relative to the silicon oil 21 to reduce the torque fluctuation caused by the O-ring 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
