<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine, capable of estimating accurately an accumulation amount of a PM, and capable of restraining a fuel economy from getting worse. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device for the internal combustion engine includes a DPF 9 for capturing the PM in an exhaust from the internal combustion engine, a catalytic combustion control part for carrying out catalytic combustion treatment for burning the PM captured and accumulated in pores of the DPF 9 at a temperature less than a self-ignition temperature, before executing regeneration treatment, when a differential pressure of the DPF 9 reaches a prescribed value to execute the preset regeneration treatment, and a regeneration control part for prohibiting the execution of the regeneration treatment for self-ignition-burning the PM accumulated on the DPF 9, when a reduction amount of the differential pressure of the DPF 9 before and after the catalytic combustion treatment is a prescribed threshold value or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
