<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by turning off power of a memory-mounted module or a memory as maintaining a function of the memory-mounted module. <P>SOLUTION: A memory management system includes: the memory-mounted module including a main memory having a specific area to which contents of a cache memory having been used by a CPU (Central Processing Unit) are written back; and a management memory. The memory management system includes a management module including a memory management/power control means which periodically reads the contents of the cache memory written back to the specific area of the main memory, which accumulates them in the management memory, and which controls setting of a power-saving state according to a memory usage of the CPU of the memory-mounted module. When the memory-mounted module receives instructions of setting of the power-saving state, the memory-mounted module takes over the contents of the cache memory accumulated in the management memory, and continues operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
