PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens mechanism capable of moving a lens with high accuracy, without depending on the attitude of the lens mechanism itself, regardless of a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The lens mechanism 2 includes: a guide member 12 fixed to a support substrate; a lens holding member 11 holding the lens L, and held by the guide member 12 so as to enable straight-ahead movement along the optical axis Z1 of the lens L; a rotation member 13 rotated while engaging with a portion of the lens holding member 11, to make the lens holding member 11 perform straight-ahead movement along the optical axis Z1, without rotating the lens holding member 11; and a polymer actuator element 14 whose one end is fixed to the support substrate and the other end is engaged with the opening 132 of the rotation member 13, to rotate the rotation member 13 in a plane orthogonal to the optical axis Z1.
